Kojic Luminance Face Cream is a highly effective moisturising and brightening cream with visible results after the first few applications. It’s active ingredients Alpha Arbutin, Kojic Acid and Licorice Root Extract (Glycyrrhiza Glabra acid), penetrate deep within the cellular layer of skin, reducing the production of melanin and preventing dark pigmentation from forming. This essentially brightens the skin and is effective for the lightening of scars, freckles, and sunspots.

The Face Cream contains 3 effective skin lighteners at 2.5% concentration each, being Kojic Acid, Alpha Arbutin and Licorice Root Extract, which is supported by Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) to nourish and repair the skin.

 

Kojic Acid

Kojic acid is a natural crystal-like substance, a chelation agent that is produced by different species of fungi. In particular the Aspergillus oryzae, which is commonly called koji which is used for the lightening scars, localised bleaching skin and hinders the production of melanin and dark pigmentation from forming. It is a safe alternative to hydroquinone.

Alpha Arbutin

Arbutin is a naturally derived substance found in plants such as bearberry, cranberries, blueberries, wheat, and pears. A natural substitute for Hydroquinone which lightens and reduces liver spots, Alpha Arbutin has a soothing effect on skin. Regular use of it makes skin smoother and more radiant and has moisturizing effect on dry and scaly skin. Arbutin evens out skin tone and is also effective in treating acne scars.

Licorice Root Extract

Licorice root is gentle for sensitive skin and is natural skin lightening alternative to chemical hydroquinone, Licorice extract contains an active called glabridin, which inhibits tyrosinase, the enzyme that causes pigmentation in response to sun exposure. The skin lightening compound found in Licorice root called liquiritin can help lighten these areas. Both liquiritin and licochalcone inhibit the enzyme known as tyrosinase.

Niacinamide

Vitamin B3 is a vitamin that works with the natural substances in your skin to help visibly minimize enlarged pores, tighten lax pores, improve uneven skin tone, soften fine lines and wrinkles, diminish dullness, and strengthen a weakened surface.

Aloe Vera

The ultimate skin repairer. Aloe Vera contains vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, and amino acids. Aloe Vera has been proven to treat a variety of skin conditions, such as burns, frostbite, psoriasis, and cold sores, and acne.

Glycerine

A natural humectant or a skin-conditioner, glycerine keeps your skin hydrated, soft and supple. It also protects your skin from harmful environmental aggressors, while improving its texture. Glycerine also treats several skin disorders, ranging from dry skin to wound healing

 

Night Use  

Applying the cream at night has the highest effectiveness rate. Visible results can be seen by the next morning.

1. 1. Cleanse the face using a cotton pad and a suitable cleanser.
   2. Apply the Cream to the face and neck area.
   3. Allow for the cream to absorb into the skin.

 

Day Use

The sun’s rays has the effect of burning the skin when lotions and creams without a SPF, are applied to the face which is constantly exposed. Each individual’s exposure to the sun rays differ. For day use, select the most appropriate

• • Intermittent exposure to the sun – apply the Kojic Face Cream as base cream with a sun block /screen as the final Layer. A recommended sun block /screen has a SPF of 30 to 40.
  • It is recommended NOT to apply the Face cream if there is full continuous exposure to the sun, exceeding 60 minutes. A sun block /screen should be applied daily to these areas.
  • A recommended sun block /screen has a SPF of 30 to 40.
  • The face cream should be applied at night.
