Kojic Luminance – Moisturising & Brightening Soap

Vanity’s Kojic Luminance Soap is a rich and luxurious moisturising soap that contains 2 % Kojic Acid and is designed to target hyperpigmentation, and aging of the skin. Kojic Acid is 100 % natural. The soap penetrates deep within the cellular layer of skin preventing dark pigmentation from forming in effect brightening the skin.Effective for the lightening of scars, freckles  and sunspots. Ideal for acne proned skin.

 

Kojic Acid

Kojic acid is a natural crystal-like substance, a chelation agent that is produced by different species of fungi. In particular the Aspergillus oryzae, which is commonly called koji which is used for the lightening scars, localised bleaching skin and hinders the production of melanin and dark pigmentation from forming. It is a safe alternative to hydroquinone.

 

Glycerine

Glycerin, or glycerol, is derived from plant-based oils and is gentle on the skin ideal for dry and sensitive skin.  The hygroscopic nature of glycerine attracts moisture from the air and the lower pH, helps the skin retain its natural moisture. At the same time, glycerin is non greasy and is a good choice for oily skin. Glycerine is beneficial for the following conditions:

• • acne
  • dermatitis (eczema)
  • dry skin
  • psoriasis
  • rosacea

 

 

Suitable for daily use.

Apply the soap with water to the targetted area. Leave for 2 minutes and then rinse off.

 

Although the soap is not likely to cause an allergic reaction, certain ingredients in the products may. The only way to determine your allergy risk is to do a patch test before you do a full application.

To do a patch test:

• • Apply a small amount of your chosen soap product into the inside of your forearm.
  • Cleanse and rinse the area as directed.
  • Wait a day or two to see if any symptoms develop.
  • If you don’t experience any irritation or inflammation, the soap is safe for use elsewhere.
