Vanity’s Brightening Lotion is a highly effective in moisturising and brightening the skin with visible results after the first few applications. It’s active ingredients Alpha Arbutin, Kojic Acid and Shea butter, penetrate deep within the cellular layer of skin, reducing the production of melanin and preventing dark pigmentation from forming. This essentially brightens the skin and is effective for the lightening of scars, freckles, and sunspots.

The Brightening Lotion contains effective skin lighteners at 2.2% concentration each, being Kojic Acid, and Alpha Arbutin. which is supported by Aloe Vera, and Vitamin B3 to nourish and repair the skin.

 

Kojic Acid

Kojic acid is a natural crystal-like substance, a chelation agent that is produced by different species of fungi. In particular the Aspergillus oryzae, which is commonly called koji which is used for the lightening scars, localised bleaching skin and hinders the production of melanin and dark pigmentation from forming. It is a safe alternative to hydroquinone.

Alpha Arbutin

Arbutin is a naturally derived substance found in plants such as bearberry, cranberries, blueberries, wheat, and pears. A natural substitute for Hydroquinone which lightens and reduces liver spots, Alpha Arbutin has a soothing effect on skin. Regular use of it makes skin smoother and more radiant and has moisturizing effect on dry and scaly skin. Arbutin evens out skin tone and is also effective in treating acne scars.

Niacinamide

Vitamin B3 is a vitamin that works with the natural substances in your skin to help visibly minimize enlarged pores, tighten lax pores, improve uneven skin tone, soften fine lines and wrinkles, diminish dullness, and strengthen a weakened surface.

Shea Butter   

Shea butter has an exceptionally large healing fraction which nourishes the skin with Vitamins A, E and F. Vitamins A and E maintain the skin and keep it clear and healthy. They are particularly helpful for sun damaged skin and to help prevent premature wrinkles and facial lines. The Vitamin A is important for improving skin conditions, including blemishes, wrinkles, eczema, and dermatitis. Vitamin F acts as a protector and rejuvenator soothing rough dry or chapped skin and helps soften dry or damaged hair and has properties that treat skin allergies, insect bites, sunburn and frostbite.

Petroleum Jelly  

PJ seals existing moisture into your skin and protects skin that’s been injured or irritated by forming a seal or barrier where it’s applied. With this barrier, petroleum jelly effectively reduces how much moisture is lost from the skin. As one of the most effective mineral oils makes it superior in skin treatments.

Aloe Vera

The ultimate skin repairer. Aloe Vera contains vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, and amino acids. Aloe Vera has been proven to treat a variety of skin conditions, such as burns, frostbite, psoriasis, and cold sores, and acne.

 

Suitable for Day and Night.  

Cleanse the targeted area for maximum penetration within the skin epidermis and apply the lotion. Allow for the lotion to absorb into the skin.

 

Day Use

The sun’s rays has the effect of burning the skin when lotions and creams without a SPF, are applied to constantly exposed areas i.e. hands, arms, neck etc.

• • The Brightening Lotion can be used during the day for intermittent or limited sun exposure.
  • It is recommended NOT to apply the Brightening Lotion if there is full continuous exposure to the sun, exceeding 40 minutes. A sun block /screen should be applied daily to these areas.
  • A recommended sun block /screen has a SPF of 30 to 40.
  • The lotion should be applied at night to these areas.
